Jeffrey Remsik has more than 30 years of professional experience in public relations, marketing and public affairs in both the public and private sectors, specializing in healthcare, financial services and real estate development. As the firm’s president, he is actively involved in client services, as well as marketing and managing the firm.
Jeffrey previously served as the vice-president of public and governmental affairs for one of the largest independent public relations firms in the Midwest. He also was the chief lobbyist for the state’s third largest bank holding company.
In the public sector, Jeffrey was the chief of staff to the Assembly Speaker and press secretary and chief of staff for two Majority Leaders in the Assembly. Prior to his work in the State Legislature, he served as assistant and deputy press secretary for two Wisconsin governors. He also worked as a newspaper reporter and columnist for The Milwaukee Journal, The Daily Reporter, and The Madison Press Connection, and as a correspondent for several national newspapers.
Jeffrey is a past president of the Milwaukee Rotary Club and a trustee emeritus of the Public Policy Forum. An Indiana native, Remsik is a 1976 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he studied as a Harry J. Grant Scholar.
Away from work, Jeffrey enjoys spending time with Arlene his wife and adult children Alex, Clay, and Lauren, especially their annual trips to Mexico and some mountain for downhill skiing.
Margaret works with the media on a daily basis, pitching stories and opportunities for several Bottom Line clients. She helps clients get in front of local print and broadcast media and industry trade publications to tell their interesting stories. She also assists in the execution of branding, media and government relations campaigns.
Margaret’s previous experience includes public relations, event planning, fundraising and law firm marketing. While raising her two now college-aged daughters, she was actively involved with home and school and chaired the annual parish/school fundraising gala. She served on the Wauwatosa School District marketing committee and the Wauwatosa West Scholarship Foundation fundraising committee.
She holds a B.A. in public relations from Mount Mary University. She is a self-proclaimed #birdnerd and strives to be the first to text “rabbit, rabbit” to her co-workers on the first of every month. She lives in Wauwatosa with her husband and their two daughters.
Katie started her career in public relations with us as a PR Assistant, and she has since moved up to a PR Specialist and Social Media Manager role. She is responsible for executing public relations projects and social media strategy for various clients, writing press releases, internal newsletters and other client content, managing lists and supporting her fellow staff members.
During her undergrad, Katie held several positions in the marketing field, including Content Marketing Manager with a start-up company called EatStreet, and summer internships with ESPN Milwaukee and Capture Marketing. Katie also expanded her leadership skills through executive roles in college student organizations, including Executive Vice President for Students in Advertising and Vice President of Public Relations for the American Marketing Association.
Katie earned a B.B.A. in marketing and a minor in mass communication from the University of Iowa. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to new places, kayaking, horse-back riding, hiking with her dog, Cooper, going to concerts, and watching football and baseball games.
Ron is an established communicator, strategist, and leader with a solid history of effectively working with all levels of management (C-suite to front-line employees), building consensus and managing challenging assignments to promote and elevate organization reputation. He has broad and diverse experience developing and executing public relations strategies and media management in non-profit and for-profit organizations.
For 15 years, he worked as the Director of Public Relations/Director of Donor Relations at Aurora Health Care, where he was responsible for corporate communications and a philanthropy role focused on three areas collectively raising $5 million+. He has managed clients and client teams for several public relations agencies, and is our “go-to” person to successfully complete projects.
Annette is Bottom Line’s PR Assistant. Her main responsibilities include writing news releases, media alerts, social media posts, website content and status reports. She also assists with media relations and supports her team members with other marketing efforts.
She has previous experience working in student services at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well as experience working in public relations and media services at local Milwaukee agencies.
Annette graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2015 and received her B.A. in Journalism, Advertising and Media Studies, as well as a minor in Spanish. She grew up in Sheboygan, WI and currently resides on the lower east side of Milwaukee. In her free time, Annette enjoys trying new local restaurants, exploring the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
A.J. is Bottom Line’s current Intern, and a rising senior at Marquette University studying Theatre Arts and Public Relations. He handles a number of day-to-day tasks, ranging from media pitching and research to writing articles for a variety of different newsletters and publications.
A.J. also serves as the Assistant to the Artistic Director and publicity coordinator for Marquette Theatre and the Public Relations Director for Summit Players Theatre, a traveling, seven-member theatre troupe dedicated to bringing free Shakespeare workshops and performances to the Wisconsin State Parks. He is also a member of the Marquette University Honors Program.
When A.J. isn’t working, he’s most often acting. Outside of that, he also enjoys reading, traveling, listening to music, and baking.
